I am a licensed psychotherapist based in Miami Beach and have experience in individual and group therapy working with acute mental illness, substance abuse, depression (including major depressive disorders), anxiety, trauma, diversity issues and adjustment disorders. Although I focus on client history in order to understand present functionality, my therapeutic sessions predominantly address “here and now” problems to maximize immediate effectiveness and benefit.
I am on professional staff at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center's Behavioral Health Unit and have significant experience with crisis management and community resources.
Prior to entering the field of psychology, I spent 25 years in the management consulting and legal communities. Having extensive experience in these high-pressure environments, I have unique insight into the stress that can arise from trying to balance performance demands, family, and financial obligations.
